Dominic C. Challie, Jr., 83, of Kountze, died March 16, 2016, at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital. He was born on October 19, 1932, in Beaumont, to Nora Ozio Challie and Dominic Challie, Sr., and was a lifelong resident of the area.

Dominic graduated from South Park High School and attended Lamar University. He had long professional career as a Civil Engineer.

Dominic is survived by his wife, Doris Challie, of Kountze, who has two surviving sons, Terry Wiggins and Vernon Wiggins; daughter, Diana Mann and her husband, Bob, of Vero Beach, Florida; sons, Stephen Challie and his wife, Jeanne, of Kountze; and Andrew Challie and his wife, Amy, of Lumberton; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A gathering of Mr. Challie’s family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Sunday, March 20, 2016, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 21, 2016, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
