Mary Fuller Frasher 
August 19, 1939 - February 25, 2016

She was born Mary Virginia Fuller, on August 19, 1939, in Beaumont. She grew up in Beaumont, daughter of the late Joe “Harry” Fuller and Nelbe Keely Fuller. Mary graduated from South Park High School in 1957. After high school, Mary clerked for Judge Pool and Ed Easterling, for many years.

She married Julian Thomas Frasher, of Beaumont, on May 7, 1964. They moved to Houston where she worked for Butler, Benion, Rice, Cook, and Nap; Venson and Elkins; and Mayor, Day, and Caldwell, for many years. After Mary retired from law, she worked at St. Thomas University of Houston while earning a Bachelor of Art from the University of Houston. She was a member of the Honor Society Phi Kappa Phi. With her degree in Art History she became a Docent at the Houston Museum of Fine Arts conducting educational tours for school children.

Mary Fuller Frasher, 76, passed on February 25, 2016, after a long illness.

She is survived by her brother, Harry K. Fuller, of Beaumont; nephews, Harry K. Fuller, Jr., of Austin, and Mathew Aaron Fuller, of Beaumont.

 A gathering of Mrs. Frasher’s family and friends will begin at 12:00 p.m., Friday, March 4, 2016, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m., at Magnolia Cemetery, 2291 Pine Street, Beaumont.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Mary Fuller Frasher, to the Museum of Fine Arts Houston, c/o MFAH Development Department, 1001 Bissonnet Street, Houston, Texas, 77005 or to an organization of one’s choice.
