Danny Floyd Walters, 57, of Beaumont, died Saturday, February 20, 2016. He was born on May 21, 1958, to Lucille Jeansonne and Floyd Raymond Hamilton Walters, in Kountze. Danny was a loyal and dedicated employee of thirty years with Exxon Mobil, where he worked as a crane inspector. He took a medical retirement due to brain cancer in early 2015 and will be sorely missed by his co-workers. Danny will be remembered as a kind, gentle and caring follower of Christ who deeply loved his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife of eighteen years, Susie Walters; daughters, Keisha Hand and her husband, Bill, of Nederland and Kaitlyn Walters of Beaumont; grandsons, Brayden Hand, Kasen Hand, Dexter Trahan, and Maxwell Trahan; sisters, Debbie Sylvester and Gwen Janise, both of Evadale, and April Bell of Lumberton; and mother, Lucille Woodard.
He is preceded in death by his father, Raymond Walters and sister, Vicky Anderson.
A gathering of Mr. Walters’ family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 23, 2016, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 24, 2016, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County, Nederland.
