Arthur L. “Moe” Cartwright, 86, of Beaumont, died Wednesday, February 17, 2016, at Atria Collier Park, Beaumont. He was born on August 19, 1929, in Noble, Louisiana, to Mary Ella Cox Cartwright and Arthur Orten Cartwright.

Moe worked as a cable repairman for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for thirty-two years. He was also a member of Eagles Lodge Crystal Beach.

Moe is survived by his daughters, Dee Ann Young and her husband, Charles, of Warren; Donna LaFay Paslick of Beaumont; and Dell Lin Willis and her husband, Allen, of Lumberton; grandchildren, Chad Young, Jason Young, Deonna Cunningham, Joshua Lafayette Paslick, April Dronet, Seth Baker, and Jayce Baker; great-grandchildren, Ana Young, Jackson Young, Kolby Young, Jimmy Bean, Lyndee Baker, Holly Baker, and Sage Baker; and special companion, Brenda Mazzola.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Artria caregivers and Collier Park staff.

A gathering of Mr. Cartwright’s family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, February 19, 2016, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. His funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 20, 2016, at Broussard’s, with his interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
