Dusty Smith, 61, of Port Neches, died Friday, February 5, 2016. He was born on August 21, 1954, to Wilma Jean Sheffield Smith and Kenneth Wayne Smith.

Survivors include his wife, Laurel Smith, of Port Neches; stepdaughters, Angie Hall Haviland and her husband, Sam, of Port Neches and Michelle Hall Guidry and her husband, Travis, of Nederland; children, Kathy Jean Kinder, Patricia Gilchriest of Lumberton, Donna Bass, and Samuel Dustin of Arkansas; seven grandchildren; and sister, Vickie Bearden.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Nathan Smith.

A gathering of Mr. Smith’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Friday, February 12, 2016, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 13, 2016, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Smith’s name to American Cancer Society, #4 Bayou Brandt, Suite B, Beaumont, Texas 77706.
