Christopher Columbus Thrasher, Jr., 64, of Kountze, died Thursday, January 28, 2016.  He was born on August 12, 1951, in Silsbee, to Lenora St. John Thrasher and Christopher Thrasher, Sr.

Christopher worked at Georgia Pacific for thirty-nine years and with Gary Whitman Materials for the past six years as a truck driver.  He will be loved and missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his wife, Rhonda Thrasher; daughters, Jheri Copland and her husband, Steve Moody; Chrissy Seiley and her husband, Mike; and Lindy Eldridge and her husband, Jon, all of Kountze; son, Toby Thrasher of Kountze; mother, Lenora Thrasher of Silsbee; eight grandchildren; adopted daughter, Kay Franklin of Oklahoma; sister, Linda Carter and her husband, Bill, of Big Cedar, Oklahoma; and a host of nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his father.

A gathering of Mr. Thrasher’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Saturday, January 30, 2016, at Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe, Kountze.  His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 31, 2016, at Broussard’s, with his interment to follow at William Hart Cemetery, Kountze.
