Lee Anna Fontenot

Lee Anna Fontenot, of China, died January 20, 2016. She was born to Ida Saucier Manuel and Percy Manuel, in Mamou, Louisiana.
Lee Anna was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmaw, great-grandmaw and great-great-grandmaw who loved the Lord, her family and working in her garden. She had a green thumb and always had a beautiful yard. Before losing her eye sight she was an avid reader of the bible.
Survivors include her son, Don Fontenot; daughters, Terrie Breeden and her husband, Cal; Terea McEachern and her husband, Lou; and Tonya Allen and her husband, Richard; sister, Pearlie Parker; eleven grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Hazel Schexnider, Melvin Manuel, and Jean LeJune; husband, Wade Fontenot; and son, Arride Lee Fontenot.
She was loved so much and leaves a void that will never be filled.
A gathering of Mrs. Fontenot’s family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, January 22, 2016, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 23, 2016, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at China Cemetery, China.
