Les Taylor 
March 15, 1940 - January 13, 2016

Les Taylor, 75, of Vidor, died Wednesday, January 13, 2016, at Healthsouth Rehabilitation Hospital, Shenandoah. He was born on March 15, 1940, in Preston, Idaho, to Goldie D. Lawson Taylor and Melvin Taylor. Les and Clarice had lived in Vidor for the last fifteen years. Les said that Clarice was the love of his life and that she was the greatest women he had ever met. Clarice was always by his side, and had saved his life on two different occasions.

Les owned and operated Taylor Granite in Beaumont for twenty years. Taylor Granite was the first company in Beaumont that installed and sold granite. After retiring, he enjoyed traveling, relaxing, and loved playing on his computer. Les loved to hunt and fish, but mainly spending time with his family, children, and especially the littlest of his descendants.

Les is survived by his wife of fifteen years, Clarice Taylor; sons, Terry Lynn Taylor and his wife, Candie, of Green River, Wyoming; Steven Leslie Taylor, of Vidor; and Todd Blake Taylor and his wife, Kathleen, of Sun City, Arizona; stepdaughter, Kim DeRouen and her husband, Scott, of Lake Charles, Louisiana; stepson, Mitchell Roebuck and his wife, BJ, of Vidor; grandchildren, Joli DeRouen; Summer Etheredge and her husband, Woodfin III; Casey Roebuck and his wife Pam; Saren Smith and her husband, Jacob; Aaron Logan and her husband, Dereck; Sarah Jean Taylor; Zachary Steven Taylor; Millie Ann Taylor; Samuel Keith Taylor; and Austin Franklin Taylor; great-grandchildren, Morghan Smith, Blake Roebuck, Clayton Roebuck, Ashlyn Roebuck, Zoey Etheredge, Jozzette Ivy Logan, Jayden Buck Taylor Wilde, Joshua Albert Wilde, Julianna Mae Wilde, and Brayleigh Jae Greer; sister, Darlene Taylor Goulding and her husband, Willis, of Provo, Utah;  brothers, Ben Leon Taylor and his wife, Yvonne, of Boise, Idaho; Craig Lawson Taylor and his wife, Elaine, of Spring; Timothy James Taylor and his wife, Jolene, of Meridian, Idaho; and many nieces and nephews.

A gathering of Mr. Taylor’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Monday, January 18, 2016, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 19, 2016, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 18 North Highway 105, Vidor, with his graveside service to follow at 4:00 p.m., at Damon Cemetery, Damon, Texas.
