Celeste Elizabeth Turner Jefferson, 84, of Orange, died Friday, January 8, 2016. She was born on December 30, 1931, in Honduras, to Irene and Edward Conners.

Survivors include her son, Edward Haylock; stepson, Wayne Jefferson; daughter-in-laws, Tanja Anderson and Cindy Jefferson; grandchildren, Richard Rodgers; Austin, Valerie, Brean and Cody Haylock; Braxton Parker Haylock; Gaerson Bailey; Hollie Phillips and her husband, Nathan; and Micah Jefferson; and great-grandchildren, Chase and Dustin Rodgers; Kaylee and Cash Haylock; Chesley and Drew Phillips; and Morgan and Mya Jefferson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Irene and Edward Conners; husband, Louis Jefferson; son, Steve Haylock; daughter, Elizabeth Womack and her husband, Jimmy; step-daughter, Darla Schaffer; and brothers, Rudolph, Ivor, and Clive Conners.

A gathering of Mrs. Jefferson’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 12, 2016, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 13, 2016, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
