Mary Ann McFarland, 67, of Buna, died Wednesday, December 30, 2015. She was born on December 17, 1948, in Hemphill, to Violet Alene Bass and Sam Joseph Bass, Sr.

Mary was a member of Calvary Apostolic Tabernacle in Evadale and worked thirty-two years for the Buna Independent School District as a Cafeteria Manager.

Survivors include her husband, Glen Perry McFarland of Buna; children, Cindy Alene Lunsford and her husband, Junior, of Buna; Darrell Glen McFarland of Kirbyville; and Rhonda Lynn Carver and her husband, Brandon, of Lufkin; eleven grandchildren, Brandon Lunsford; Matthew Lunsford and his wife, Desiree; Samantha Lunsford, Cody McFarland and his wife, Jessica; Beau McFarland; Faith McFarland; Braeden McFarland; Noah McFarland; Shawn Westbrook; Sophia Carver; and Colin Carver; two great-grandchildren, Daelynn Lunsford and Bentley McFarland; sisters, Alpha Belyeu and Ruby Ard, both of Lufkin; and brother, Wayne Paul Brown and his wife, Delorse of Vidor.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Dennis Samuel Bass, Samuel Joseph Bass, Jr., and Bryce David Brown; and one sister, Virginia Faye Howard.

A gathering of Mrs. McFarland’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, January 1, 2016, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 2, 2016, at Calvary Apostolic Tabernacle, Evadale, with interment to follow at Antioch, Cemetery, Buna.
