After a long and tough battle fighting leukemia, Johnathan Henry Thang Dinh Tran Hoang, 15, of Beaumont, died peacefully on Tuesday, December 29, 2015. He was born on May 13, 2000, to Canh Minh Tran and Peter Tam Hoang, in Beaumont, Texas.

Survivors include his parents, Peter and Canh Hoang; grandmother, Chien Thi Nguyen; brother, Anthony Hoang, Andrew Huan Hoang, and Sang Nguyen; sister, Julie Thuy Hoang; and sister-in-law, Oanh Hoang.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Matthew Hoang.

Johnathan’s death was not a loss because he showed everyone what a true fighter he really was. He will forever be in our hearts.

A Prayer Service will begin at 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 30, 2015, and Thursday, December 31, 2015, at Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.

A Christian Vigil for Johnathan will be at 5:00 p.m., Friday, January 1, 2016, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 2, 2016, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1115 Orange Street, Beaumont, with his interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery, Beaumont.
