George Wescott Dailey 
December 22, 1936 - December 26, 2015

George Wescott Dailey, 79, of High Island, died Saturday, December 26, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 22, 1936, in High Island, Texas to Tralice Norma Dailey and Percy Arond Dailey.  He was a retired pipe-fitter for Local Union 211, where he had worked for 40 years.

Georgie enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, working at the farm, working in his garage, tinkering on his lawn mowers, and making wine.

Mr. Dailey was preceded in death by his wife Mary Ann Dailey of 59 1/2 years; his parents and brother, Harry Dailey.   Mr. Dailey is survived by his four children; sons, Bobby Dailey and his wife Linda Dailey of Kerrville; Darrell Dailey and his wife Belinda Dailey of Alvin; Lonnie Dailey and his wife Annette Dailey, of High Island; daughter, Donna Bertolino and her husband, Jackie Bertolino of High Island; grandchildren, Sean, Dean, Wayne, Michelle, Heather, Crystal, Jackie Jr., and Clint; seventeen great grand-children; brother Lonnie Dailey, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

The family would like to thank two special ladies who assisted in providing care, Juanita Lewis and Brenda Evans as well as Texas Health Hospice.

A gathering of Mr. Dailey’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 29, 2015, at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. His funeral service will be 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, December 30, 2015, at Broussard’s,  followed by interment at High Island Cemetery, High Island.
