Frank Cecil Green, Sr., 88, of
Austin, formerly Beaumont, died Monday, December 14, 2015. He was born on March 12, 1927, in Texla, to Virginia
Lyles and Issac Frank Green.
Cecil graduated from South Park
High School in 1944. He then entered the
United States Navy and served in Camp Kearney, California. Cecil married Rita
Blakeman on September 6, 1947. He
graduated from Lamar State College and Lamar University with a Masters of
Education. Cecil was an educator and
coach in the Rio Grande Valley, Beaumont, and Port Neches areas for thirty-six
years. Following retirement, he spent many hours sourcing, refinishing, and
selling antiques in Beaumont, Georgia, and Austin area.

Carter and spouse, Thomas; Rob Brooksher; Torry Hinson and spouse, Lexy;
Matthew Smith and spouse, Meredith; Courtney Hinson and spouse, Carman; Shea
Bailey and spouse, Jeff; Keller Hinson and spouse, Cyndi; Sarah Williamson and
spouse, Todd; Meagan Hinson; David Green and spouse, Shana; Daneen Van; Peebles
and spouse, Cameron; Jaime Abshire; Rachael Hughes; Shane Hughes; and Kimberly

Lorelei Bailey, Noah Bailey, Issac Bailey, Cole Hinson, Cruz Hinson, Tyler
Williamson, Josh Williamson, Bradley Williamson, Julie Williamson, Blair
Guilbeau, Sadie Guilbeau, Edison Casto, Brooks Green, Tucker Green, Kaitlyn
Abshire, Ella White, Alexis Neito, and Mallori Moreno; and nieces, Lezli
Blakeman Lujan and Lyndi Blakeman Rouse.
He is preceded in death by his
wife, Rita Blakeman Green.
A gathering of Mr. Green’s family
and friends will be from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., Sunday, December 20, 2015,
at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont.
His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 21, 2015, at
Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
