Ramie Harvey Griffin, Jr., 69, of Beaumont, died Thursday, December 3, 2015. He was born on August 12, 1946, in Houston, to Nell Pauline DeShazo Griffin and Ramie Harvey Griffin, Sr., and had been a longtime resident of Beaumont. He was a United States Army veteran. Ramie was a self-employed attorney with Ramie Griffin, Attorney-at-Law, Beaumont.

He is survived by his wife, Dayami S. Griffin, of Beaumont; children, Jamie Griffin, of Beaumont, Henry S. Griffin, of Los Angeles, California, and Ramie “Bumper” J. Griffin, of Sedona, Arizona; grandchildren, Brandon Griffin, of California and Brianna Jane Griffin, of Lakeway; sister, Paula Hudgins, of Austin; nephews, Mark Hudgins, Jr., of White House, Lucas Hudgins and Nathan Hudgins, both of Austin; and numerous cousins.

Ramie is preceded in death by his parents; and grandson, Ramie Joseph Griffin, Jr.

A gathering of Mr. Griffin’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 8, 2015, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A family committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
