Donald H. Hardcastle, 72, of Kountze, died Sunday, November 29, 2015, at University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston. He was born on December 7,1942, in San Antonio, to Robbie Foster and Johnny Hardcastle.  Donald retired as a supervisor for Harris County Mosquito Control following nineteen years of service.

Survivors include his wife, Donna McCarty; children, Mary Lee Martz and her husband, Jim, of Des Moines, Iowa; Donald Charles Hardcastle and his wife, Regina, of Mauriceville; Kenneth Ray Hardcastle and his wife, Kim, of Devine; Robert Wesley Hardcastle of Devine; stepchildren, Wesley Lowe and his wife, Kelli, of Casper, Wyoming; Curtis Lowe and his wife, Cheryl, of Hamshire; Terrie Sonnier and her husband, Rickie, of Fannett; Wade Lowe of Winnie; and Jason Miller and Amanda Miller, of Kountze; grandchildren, Christina Nelson, Donovan Baker, Philip Hardcastle, Christopher Hardcastle, Jeremy Barziza, Nathaniel Haynes, Jordann Hardcastle, Jacob Hardcastle, Shawnee Lowe Geddes, Patience Huffman, Connie Hardcastle, Tanner Hardcastle, Jessica Hardcastle,  Bailey Miller, Ginny Blackwell, Gracie Miller, and Dylan Miller; great-grandchildren, Christian Hardcastle, Cain “Scooterbob” Harvey, Skyler, Dakota, and Jerry.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and his wife of thirty-two years, Sammie Lou Hardcastle. 

A gathering of Mr. Hardcastle’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe, Kountze. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 2, 2015, at Broussard’s, with his interment to follow at 3:00 p.m., at Restwood Memorial Park, Clute.
