John Ray Perry, Jr., 50, of Buna, died Sunday, November 29, 2015.  He was born on November 3, 1965, in Orange, to Mary Jane Ray Perry and John Perry, Sr.  He worked as the Ranch Manager for Los Valles Ranch, Cherokee, Texas.

John loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping.  He was also a wonderful carpenter.  However, none of that compared to spending time with his family; they meant the world to him.

Survivors include his wife, Maria Perry of Cherokee; daughters, Jessica Lynn Perry and her fiancé, Tyler Coleman, of Port Allen, and Grace Perry of Cherokee; grandchild, MacKenzie Renee “Puddin” Coleman, Port Allen; stepson, Rolando Davis of Cherokee; parents, Mary and John Perry, Sr. of Goldthwaite; sister, Donna LaFosse and her husband, Boogie, of Buna; nephew, Josh LaFosse of Buna; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

A gathering of Mr. Perry’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 1, 2015, at Central Baptist Church, 33814 Highway 96 South, Buna, under the direction of Broussard’s, Silsbee.  His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 2, 2015, at the church, with interment to follow at Sudduth Bluff, Buna.

Serving as pallbearers are Gordon Birdwell, Wayne Hudson, Gary Beard, Alvin Perry, Butch Wilson, and Tim Seymour. Serving as honorary pallbearers are James Hardin, Dickie Perry, Boogie Lafosse, Tyler Coleman, and Josh Lafosse.
