Salvador "Sal" Peree Guerrero, Jr. 
August 31, 1942 - November 28, 2015

Salvador “Sal” Peree Guerrero, Jr., 73, of Beaumont, died Saturday, November 28, 2015. A native and lifelong resident of this area, he was born on August 31, 1942, to Santos “Daisy” Rivera and Salvador “Rufus” Peree Guerrero, Sr. After graduating from St. Anthony High School in 1961, he worked several years for Butler Shoe Stores. Sal later worked for Mobil Oil Corp as a lab tech, retiring from ExxonMobil in 2002 after 32 ˝ years.  

 

Survivors include his wife of nineteen years, Doris Guerrero; son, Sal C. Guerrero and his wife, Marilyn, of Lumberton; daughters, Christine Haynes and her husband, Jason, of Beaumont and Misty Rivera and her husband, Jason, of Austin; step-daughter, Janean Reagan of Pearland; step-son, Lance Bradley and his wife, Tina, of Port Neches; step-daughter-in-law, Natasha Burnett of Tomball; sisters, Theresa Falco and her husband, Joe, and Dolores “LoLo” Guerrero, both of Houston; brother, Louis “Poli” Guerrero and his wife, Ruth, of Colmesneil; thirteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and his former wife, Anna L. Gussman.

 

He is preceded in death by his parents; one step-son, James Burnett; and one step-son-in-law, Jay Reagan.

 

A gathering of Mr. Guerrero’s family and friends will begin at 4:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 1, 2015, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A family committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4 Bayou Brandt Drive, Suite B, Beaumont, Texas 77706.
