Lugene “Jeannie” Martinka, 59, of Kountze, died Saturday, November 28, 2015.  She was born on April 2, 1956, in DeRidder, Louisiana, to Nena Cotton Martinka and J.T. Martinka, Jr.  Jeannie was a lifelong resident of Kountze and worked at Christian Loving Care Center in Kountze.

 Survivors include her siblings, Bernie Martinka and his wife, Geneva, of Leesville, Louisiana; Betty Ryan of Fairfield; Sandra Boaden and her husband, John, of Bon Wier; Dottye Ricks of Wildwood, Steve Martinka and his wife, Kay, of Kountze; Kenneth Anderson and his wife, Dana, of Buffalo; and Keith Anderson and his wife, Teresa, of Conroe; and numerous nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her parents.

 A gathering of Ms. Martinka’s family and friends will from 1:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 1, 2015, at Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe, Kountze, with her graveside service at 2:00 p.m., at Old Hardin Cemetery, Kountze.
