Diane Lynn Winegeart
June 3, 1955 - November 3, 2015

Diane Lynn Winegeart, 60, of Honey Island, died Tuesday, November 3, 2015.  She was born on June 3, 1955, in Mankato, Minnesota, to Marilyn LaVonne Peterson Dodrill and James Louis Dodrill.

Cherished wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and friend; Diane was treasured by all who were blessed to know her. Her heart was bigger than Texas and she always was there to help anyone in need. She was a champion for furry friends of all kinds.

Diane was an avid outdoorswoman and enjoyed fishing and hunting. She wasn’t afraid to speak her mind or stand up for her beliefs and she was known for her wicked sense of humor. We loved every part of what made Diane such an amazing woman.

God blessed Diane with an wonderful man she was thankful to call her husband, three beautiful daughters that looked up to her as an example of what it meant to be a mom and wife, and a brave son that left this world too soon. She’s with him now and her pain and suffering is just a memory.

We will miss hearing her voice or seeing her smile but her loving spirit surrounds us and will comfort our souls. Our memories of happier moments and pictures of her joyful smile will remind us how truly fortunate we were to have her in our lives.

Survivors include her husband, David Winegeart; daughters, Angela Tyte and her husband, Richard, of Houston; Casey Winegeart of Lumberton; and Laura Winegeart of Honey Island; grandchildren, Tanner Williams, Charity Tyte, and Christopher Wagner; mother, Marilyn Dodrill of Woodville; mother-in-law and father in-law, Eva Mae and Phillip Winegeart; and brothers, Dean Meyer, Dale Meyer, David Meyer, and Daniel Meyer.

She is preceded in death by her son, Daniel Winegeart; and her father, James Dodrill.
