Gerald
Null passed on Friday, October 30, 2015, at 10:30 p.m. in Beaumont, Texas. He
was born in Waco, Texas, on April 5, 1940.
He
lived most of his life in Houston, Texas, working for the Houston Post Newspaper
for 37 plus years. He was a
Newspaperman! Gerald started at the Post
when he was 16 years old. He lived in Florida
about 10 years and the last 10 years at Toledo Bend Lake. Gerald loved family,
friends, cooking, camping, fishing, and hunting and was an avid reader. He was
a passionate outdoorsman and treasured the water (lakes, beaches and rivers).
Gerald
loved his large family and was a beloved father, brother, husband and friend.
He
was preceded in death by his parents, LT and Mildred Russell Null; his brother,
Jimmy Null; and grandchild, Katrina Davis
Survivors
include his wife of over 20 years, Leslie Settle Null; brother, Michael Null; sisters,
Sandra Dickerson, Linda Brow, and Karen Barakat; children, Alan Null and his wife,
Rennae; Dana and her husband, Jim Lisowsky; Lesa Davis; Geraldine Rennee Null;
Lori and her husband, Rick Ragon; Matt Toomey and his wife, AnnaMarie; Tim Toomey
and his wife, Nicole; grandchildren,
Jason Keel, Joey Keel, Barbara Davis, Ryan Null, Conor Null, Jesse Davis,
Andrew Davis, Randy Davis, Halie Bennett, Hannah Michna Toomey, Charlie Toomey,
Lux Toomey, Michael Toomey and Travis Toomey. Austin Hilton, and Mason Hilton; great-grandchildren,
Madison Keel, Kindall Keel, Karsyn Keel, Kiley Keel, and Carlos Garcia, Jr.;
and he had multitudes of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
There
will be no services at his request. A Celebration of Life will follow in
December for family and friends. His cremation arrangements were handled under
the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
In

77706, on behalf of 2 of his grandkids who are survivors.
