Weldon Clayton Young, 73, of Kountze, formerly of Beaumont, died Thursday, October 29, 2015, at Christus Hospital-St Elizabeth, Beaumont. He was born on September 30, 1942, to Thelma Berry Young and J.C. Young, in Beaumont. Weldon retired as owner and operator of Weldon’s Welding.

Survivors include his wife of fifty-two years, Barbara Young; daughter, Lori Cain and her husband, Roger, of Beaumont; son, Wesley Young of Kountze; grandchildren, Waylon Clayton Young, Brandon Clayton Young, Lauren Leigh Cain, Blake Reed Cain; brothers, Travis Young, Johnny Young, and Elmer Young; and sisters, Francis Ingle and Linda Harris.

A gathering of Mr. Young’s family and friends will begin at 12:00 p.m., with his funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 1, 2015, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
