Carl Jeff Holder, 83, of Beaumont, died Tuesday,
October 27, 2015. He was born on December 16, 1931, in Lonoke, Arkansas, to
Geneva Elsie Jones and Daniel Lee O’Cain, and had been a long time resident
of Beaumont. Carl is
a United States
Navy and Marine Corps
veteran, having served in the Korean War. He was a retired process
operator from Mobil Chemical for 39 years.
Carl is survived by his wife of forty-three
years, Margie Holder; children, Dan and Sue Holder, of La Marque; Charlotte and
Charlie Weller of Alvin; Teresa and Lonnie Hammock of Monticello, Arkansas; and Kenneth and Stacey
Holder of Nederland; eleven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; siblings,
Robert Hunter of Houston, Edward Hunter, and Leda Hunter, both of El Paso,
Robbie Hunter of Houston; and several other loving family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his son, John Richard
Holder; sisters, Claudine Ratliff and Danette Jackson; grandchildren, Jason
Beasley and Bobby Neill.
A gathering
of Mr. Holder’s family and
friends will be from
5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Friday, October 30, 2015, at Broussard’s, 1605 North
Major Drive, Beaumont. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday,
October 31, 2015, at Broussard’s, with his interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park,
Beaumont. Serving as pallbearers will be: Zach Holder, Randy Wistner, Cody
Holder, Josh Holder, Bradley Barnes, and Tony Escamilla.
