Walter McPherson, 77, of Village Mills, died Wednesday, October 21, 2015.  He was born on December 6, 1937, in Groesbeck, to Velma Baulch McPherson and Jack Alfred McPherson.  Walter was an insurance agent and retired from American National Insurance as staff manager.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara McPherson; daughters, Ginger Howard of Winnie and Laurye Allen; son, Walt McPherson, Jr., and his wife, Jana, of Village Mills; grandchildren, Kyle Seiley, Jay McPherson, Hunter McPherson, Tylynn McPherson, Michael Brent Arnold, Kristie Michelle Carmichael, Logan, Nunez, and Peyton Nunez; great-grandchildren, Sevyn Propps, Natalie McPherson, Dylan Seiley, and Adam McPherson; brothers, Jimmy McPherson and Bobby McPherson.

A gathering of Mr. McPherson's family and friends will begin at 12:00 p.m., with his funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 24, 2015, at Broussard's, 530 West Monroe, Kountze.  His interment will follow at Village Mills Cemetery, Village Mills.
