James Allen McCoy, Sr., 80, of Kountze, died Sunday, October 4, 2015. He was born on January 7, 1935 in Beaumont, to Rewena Hockett McCoy and Willie Lee McCoy.

James was a United States Marine Corp Veteran having served in the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife, JoAnn McCoy of Kountze; sons, James McCoy, Jr. and his wife, Becky, of Lumberton; Timmie McCoy of Vidor; daughter, Vickie Erwin and her husband, Jamie, also of Lumberton; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

A gathering of Mr. McCoy’s family and friends will be from 12:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 7, 2015, at Broussards, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. His graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m., at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 4955 Pine Street, Beaumont.
