Christy Rae Robbins, 48, of Beaumont, died Saturday, September 26, 2015, at her home in Beaumont. She was born on June 8, 1967, to James and Shirley Robbins.

Christy was employed by Sunoco Logistics as a scheduler for twenty-two years. During that time she held many positions. Christy was a lifelong member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and enjoyed serving as a Eucharist Minister and was involved in other activities at the church.

She had many hobbies, such as astronomy, sports cars, and crabbing. In her younger years, she enjoyed horses and participating in rodeo events with her father. Christy was a beautiful, loving, and caring person who loved spending time with family, friends, and loved caring for her dogs.

Survivors include her husband, Kyle Overturf; father, James Robbins; sister, Ronda Jones; brother, Bill Robbins; her lifelong sister-in-law, Wendy Robbins; mother-in-law, Carmen Miller; all of Beaumont; nephews, Josh Jones and Jeremiah Jones; nieces, Carli Robbins and Cassie Robbins; her aunt, Pauline Tanner; uncles, Ted Roblow and Morris Duhon; and one dear second cousin, Raymond Mahan.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Robbins.

A Rosary for Mrs. Robbins will be recited at 6:00 p.m., with her gathering to follow Thursday, October 1, 2015, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 2, 2015, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 5075 Bigner Road, Beaumont. Her interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
