Ezra Euclides Jasso
April 30, 2007 - September 20, 2015

Ezra Euclides Jasso, 8, of Beaumont, died Sunday, September 20, 2015, at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston. He was born on April 30, 2007, to Euclides Kish Jasso and Kristi Karene Turley Jasso, in Beaumont.

Ezra enjoyed spending time with his family outdoors; he liked to swing with his brothers and sisters, go on walks and go for rides on his bike and in his wagon. He spent a lot of time reading  Thomas the Train books, playing ball and making noise by shaking balloons. Ezra’s favorite toy for years was his Fusion ball that played music, vibrated, and lit up. All was right in the world with his magic ball. From a baby until the day he died, Ezra loved playing with long hair! Sometimes he would run his fingers through it. Sometimes he would yank on it. Holding hands with those he trusted gave him pleasure and security.

Ezra played four seasons of baseball in Adaptive Sports for Kids (A.S.K.) on the New York Mets. He laughed and smiled as he zoomed around bases and liked to swing the bat. Each summer he enjoyed swimming with his Water Way Babies swim tube. Ezra liked petting zoos especially the long haired animals. He recently experienced Walt Disney World with his family and he especially liked meeting the characters and riding the Buzz Lightyear ride. His favorite meal was spaghetti and meat sauce. Ezra always looked especially regal when wearing red.

Ezra attended Regina Howell Elementary for five years. He loved school; being with his teachers and the other students. He would High-5 all his friends. He liked his school routine. He enjoyed rolling around on the mat and interacting with his classmates. He enjoyed the circle time “Good Morning” song and playing rhythm sticks. Ezra liked to go-go-go! He enjoyed pushing himself backward in his gait trainer around the classroom. Ezra thought the best part of the field trip was riding the bus! The more bumps the better.

Survivors include his parents, Euclides and Kristi Jasso; siblings, Kayla Nahielly, Nora Itzcalli, Corban Kish and Kian Teancum; grandparents, Euclides and Esther Jasso; Dr. Keith and Janis Turley; and many aunts, uncles and cousins who love him dearly.

A gathering of Ezra’s family and friends will begin at 9:00 a.m., with his funeral service to follow at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 26, 2015, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 7855 Weaver Drive, Beaumont. His interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
