Dorothy V. Jones, 89, of Beaumont, died on Monday, September 21, 2015, at Beaumont Health Care Center. She was born on July 5, 1926, in Beaumont, to Olive Avera Vieno and August Harold “Red” Vieno, and was a lifelong resident of the area.

Dorothy was member of Christian Fellowship Worship Center. She was also an avid bowler and loved sports. She especially loved the Houston Astros, The Houston Rockets, and the University of Texas Longhorns.

Survivors include her son, David Jones; grandchildren, Danny Wayne Kaspar and his wife, Rene; Chad Allan Jones; Nicholas Kyle Jones; and Jacob David Jones; great-grandchildren; Brady David Kaspar and Colby Bryan Kaspar; sisters-in-law, Cleo Redford and Gloria Moyer; and niece, Sherry Sharp.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Ogden K. Jones, Jr.

A gathering of Mrs. Jones’ family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 25, 2015, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. Her graveside service will follow at 12:00 p.m., at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 4955 Pine Street, Beaumont.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Elderly Care or Children/Youth East Wing Renovation funds at Christian Fellowship Worship Center, 3950 Pointe Parkway, Beaumont, Texas 77706.
