Norma Ross Jeffreys, 81, of Beaumont, died Wednesday, September 16, 2015, at Harbor Hospice, Beaumont. She was born on January 17, 1934, to Bernice Inez Shaver and Norman Ross Brashers, in Grapeland. Norma enjoyed traveling with her children. She was a very strong willed, loving, kind hearted, spiritual, positive, and an all around amazing woman.

Survivors include her children, Dr. Charles A. Jeffreys, Jr. and his wife, Dr. Patricia G. Jeffreys of San Antonio; Charlotte A. Hayes of Jefferson, Maine; Rebecca D. Couverette and her husband, Frederick, Jr., of San Antonio; and Scott P. Jeffreys of San Antonio; ten grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and sisters, Myrna D. Burrow of Lake Charles, Louisiana and Elizabeth A. Kast and her husband, Ron, of Bertram.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Jeffreys, Sr.; and two brothers, Michael B. Brashers and James E. Brashers.

A gathering of Mrs. Jeffreys’ family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, September 17, 2015, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, September 18, 2015, at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 680 Calder Avenue, Beaumont. A graveside service will be held, Friday afternoon at 4:00 p.m., at Whitehead Cemetery, Crockett.
