John E. Thibodeaux, 84, of Port Acres, died Wednesday, September 9, 2015. He was born on June 26, 1931, to Eucarise Miller and Joseph Theophield Thibodeaux.

John was a United States Air Force veteran, having served during the Korean War. He worked for Dow Chemical in Lake Jackson for thirty-three years, before retiring in 1983. John was a native of LaBelle community. He made his home in Lake Jackson, Nederland, and Houston in his later years.

John in survived by his children, Mark Thibodeaux, Cynthia Erzal, Joseph Thibodeaux, and Gail Morgan Tipp; grandchildren, Nathan Erzal, Ian Erzal, Cameron Thibodeaux, Shalayna Thibodeaux, Ashley Morgan, Michele Morgan, John Morgan, Jason Morgan, and Jennifer Monasco Tipp; great-grandchildren, Quinn Thibodeaux, Calista Teodora Thibodeaux, and Robert James Monasco; and brother, Albert Thibodeaux.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael Morgan; grandson, Robert Tipp, Jr.; and siblings, Leon, Roy, Al, Dallas, Thib, Emma, and Vernon.

A gathering of Mr. Thibodeaux’s family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 15, 2015, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 16, 2015, at Broussard’s, with his interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
