Joyce Devers, 67, of Fannett died February 19, 2005 at Winnie Community Hospital. A native of Port Arthur and lifetime resident of the area, Joyce was a bookkeeper. Joyce was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, friend and tax preparer and had a very giving spirit. She is survived by her husband Daniel Devers of Fannett; sons, Daniel Devers, Jr. and his wife Angela of League City and Rodney Devers and his wife Marilyn of Nederland; daughters, Bonnie Blankenship and her husband Jesse of Fannett, Tammie Dufour and Marlinda Sims both of League City; brothers, Leroy Arceneaux and his wife Sally, Sidney Arceneaux and his wife Madlene, Paul Arceneaux and his wife Mary Ann, and Eugene Arceneaux and his wife Margaret; sisters, Myrtis Collins and her husband Cecil, Ovleia Battaglio and her husband Johnnie, Marlene Wood and her husband Darwin, Barbara Martin and her husband David, and Roxie Castilaw and her husband Robert; special brothers and sisters-in-law, Shirley and Paul Adams, Kenneth and Judy Devers, and Jimmy and Cathy Devers; fourteen grandchildren, Dominic and Jacob Devers, Travis and Barbie Blankenship, Kurt, Mandi and Kay Lee Dufour, Kelly, Jessica and Kaylee Sims, Justin, Allen, Dana, and Christopher Devers; and one great grandson, Ethan Breaux. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 23, 2005 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Fannett followed by burial in Memory Gardens, Nederland under the direction of Broussard’s, 134 W. Buccaneer, Winnie. A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday evening, February 22, 2005 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m with a rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. at the Mortuary.
