Forrest Mark Craigen, Sr. 
September 10, 1937 - September 6, 2015

Forrest Mark Craigen, Sr., 77, of Beaumont, died Sunday, September 06, 2015. He was born on September 10, 1937, to Anna Weisse Craigen and Forrest Craigen. Mark worked as an inspector for the City of Beaumont for forty-two years. He enjoyed rodeos and deer hunting and was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church. Mark was a loyal, hard working, strong, and generous man. He was a Charter member of the Knights of Columbus Council No. 951 and was also affiliated with Amelia Little League and the Texas High School Rodeo Association for many years.

 

Survivors include his wife, Bea Craigen; children, Mark Craigen, Jr. and his wife, Tammy, of Buna and Scott Craigen and his wife, Heather, of Beaumont; grandchildren, Chere Kidder and her husband, Jason, of Lumberton; Kasey Craigen and Scott Derek Craigen, Jr., both of Beaumont; and Senior Airman Forrest Mark Craigen III and Airman 1st Class Amber King, both of Buna; two great-grandchildren, Aidan Eric Reeves and Aurora Brylee Craigen; and one sister, Linda Hale of Winnie.

 

He is preceded in death by his parents; one son, Chad Craigen; and two sisters.

 

A gathering of Mr. Craigen’s family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 8, 2015, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 9, 2015, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
