Mike Sleeper, 66, of Nederland, died Tuesday, September 1, 2015. He was born March 15, 1949, in Beaumont, to Helen Louise Last and William Warren Sleeper, Sr., and had been a lifelong resident of the area.

Mike was a United States Navy veteran. He enjoyed his retirement and spending time with his family.

Mike is survived by his wife, Annie Sleeper, of Nederland; sons, Kevin Sleeper and his wife, Kim, of Nederland and Kory Sleeper and his wife, Lindsey, of Taylor Lake Village; grandchildren, Brooke Sleeper, Brady Sleeper, and Kate Sleeper; brother, William W. Sleeper and his wife, Janice, of Bandera; and sister, Pam Richardson of Vidor.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

A gathering of Mr. Sleeper’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, September 4, 2015, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 5, 2015, at Broussard’s, with his entombment to follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County, Nederland.
