Thelma "Jenny" Virginia McAnulty 
April 18, 1927 - August 20, 2015

Thelma Virginia “Jenny” McAnulty, 88, of Trophy Club, Texas, formerly of Beaumont, died Thursday, August 20, 2015, at Baylor Regional Medical Center in Grapevine. She was born on April 18, 1927, to Gladys Thelma Webb and Isom Lester Parker, in Camden, Arkansas. Jenny moved to Silsbee in 1964 before moving to Beaumont in 1997 and Trophy Club in 2013.

 

She was a member of Cathedral Church in Beaumont for forty years. Jenny was very active in the Children’s Ministry and Beautiful Blessing Ministry. She volunteered at nursing homes and ministered by playing her auto-harp and singing and did this for nearly forty years even as recent as August 4th. Jenny had a tender heart, a sweet spirit, great faith, and a sincere love for the Lord. She was always happy because she trusted in Jesus and appreciated life.

 

At the time of her death, she was an active member of The Church at Trophy Lakes in Trophy Club, Texas. Jenny continued her music ministry after moving to Trophy Club and would sing at Keller Oaks Healthcare Center in Keller, Texas, twice a month. Her last time to do this was August 4, 2015.

 

Survivors include her son, Larry McAnulty and his wife, Kathy, of Trophy Club; daughter, Kathi McAnulty of Trophy Club; grandchildren, Lindy Brand and her husband, Jeff, of Austin and Krista Morris and her husband, Lee, of Trophy Club; great-grandchildren, Kinsey and Grant Morris, Haley Rojas, Jeffery, Harper, and Matt Brand.

 

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Jack Donald McAnulty.

 

A gathering of Mrs. McAnulty’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Friday, August 28, 2015, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 29, 2015, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Church at Trophy Lake, 800 Trophy Club Drive, Trophy Club, Texas 76262.

 

Jenny will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Her sweet smile was amazing. “Well done, good and faithful servant”. –Matthew 25:23
