Rodney Adams, Sr., 50, of Port Bolivar, died Thursday, August 20, 2015. He was born on June 3, 1965, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Dorothy Dempster and Rudy Adam, Sr. Rodney had been a resident of the Port Bolivar area for five  years.

Mr. Adams is survived by daughter, Kassidy Prestenbach and her husband, Tim; son, Rodney Adams, Jr., of Oklahoma; grandchildren, Mandi Adams, Kaden Capps, Jaylen Adams, Peyton Prestenbach, Ryder Prestenbach, Braelynn Adams, and soon to be Madelyn Prestenbach; father, Rudy Adam, Sr.; sister, Talisa Comeaux; brothers, Rickey Adam and Ryne Adams; and numerous other family members.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy “Dot” Adam; brother Rudy “Boo Boo” Adams, Jr.; and stepmother, Kris Adam.

A gathering of Mr. Adams’ family and friends will begin at 12:30 p.m., with his funeral service to follow at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, August 23, 2015, at Church of Christ of the Bolivar Peninsula, 2800 State Highway 87, Crystal Beach. Interment will follow at Port Bolivar Community Cemetery, Port Bolivar.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to “Port Bolivar Community Cemetery” or “Church of Christ of the Bolivar Peninsula”.

There will be a reception to follow the services, at Port Bolivar Fire Station, 1806 Broadway, Port Bolivar.
