Stancil Ray “Stan” Bragg, Sr., 75, of Sour Lake, died Tuesday, August 18, 2015, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth, Beaumont.  He was born on October 27, 1939, in Margaret, Alabama, to Lela McDaniel Bragg and Nelson Lee Bragg.  Stan was a United States Marine Corp veteran and retired from the construction industry.

Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Bragg; children, Amy Bragg Weaver of Magnolia and Ray Bragg of Kountze; and grandchildren, Ashley Jones of Jonesboro, Arkansas and Tray Bragg of Kountze.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Mike Bragg.

A gathering of Mr. Bragg’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 21, 2015, at Broussard’s. 530 West Monroe, Kountze.  His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 22, 2015, at Broussard’s, with his interment to follow at Pine Ridge Cemetery, Sour Lake.
