Wanda Dean Webb Lovett, 76, of Beaumont, died Wednesday, August 5, 2015. She was born on December 10, 1938, in Orange, to Vessie Davenport Webb and Howard Webb. With her family, Wanda made her way to Louisiana, where she earned a bachelor degree in liberal arts at Southeastern Louisiana University, got married, and had three children. The family of five moved to Beaumont in the late 70s. When the kids were grown her husband’s job transfer allowed them to head out on adventure to Asia for several years before returning to the states and settling back in Louisiana for a bit. She returned to Texas in 2009 where she remained until her passing. She wore many hats in her lifetime, among them friend, wife, mother, social worker, substitute teacher, and office administrator.

She is survived by her son, Kevin Bret Lovett and his wife, Leslie, and their son, Hunter, of Bevil Oaks; daughter, Laura Lovett Michel, of Beaumont; and brother, Howard Webb, of Bayou Pigeon, Louisiana.

Wanda is preceded in death by her parents; son, Daryl Lovett; husband, Victor Lovett; and sister, Marie “Nancy” Marchand.

A private family committal for Mrs. Lovett was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
