Reverend Travis "Rev" Wayne Lewing 
February 22, 1951 - July 31, 2015

Reverend Travis Wayne Lewing, 64, of Beaumont, died Friday, July 31, 2015.  He was born on February 22, 1951, in Leesville, Louisiana, to Nettie Erwin Lewing and Travis Thomas Lewing.  Reverend Lewing served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam era and was a minister for thirty years.

 

Survivors include his wife, Anne Lewing; children, Pamela Lewing of Leesville, Louisiana; Travis W. Lewing, II and his wife, Sarah, of Anacoco, Louisiana; and Timothy W. Lewing and his wife, Rebekah, of Anchorage, Alaska; grandchildren, Eli Lewing, Thomas Lewing, Isaiah Lewing, Hailey Lewing, Trey Lewing, Kinsley Lewing Blackwell, Collier Lewing, Timothy W. Lewing, II, Cody Lewing, Ronan Lewing, and Legend Lewing; sister, Christine Marcus of Baytown; brother, Howard Wilson Lewing of Spurger; and numerous nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Huey Lewing.

 

A gathering of Reverend Lewing’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 7, 2015, at Faith Assembly of God Lumberton, 570 South Main, Lumberton.  His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 8, 2015, at the church, with his interment at 2:00 p.m., at Mitchell Cemetery, Anacoco, Louisiana, under the direction of Broussard's, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.
