Perry Preble 
August 26, 1959 - July 25, 2015

Charles Perry Preble III, 55, of Sour Lake, died Saturday, July 25, 2015, at Christus Hospital-St. Elizabeth, Beaumont. A native and lifelong resident of this area, he was born on August 26, 1959, to Nancy Mace Preble and Charles Perry Preble, Jr.  Perry worked for Home Crafters and was a member of The ELKS and YMBL for many years. His favorite projects for the YMBL were the South Texas State Fair and the Special Olympics. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing, but his true passions were his grandchildren and supporting his son, Charlie, and H-J Hawks football.

 

Survivors include his daughters, Chanel Hitchcock and Mallorie Struble and her husband, Robert, both of Lumberton, and Roxie Harris and her husband, Justin, of Vidor; son, Charlie Preble of Sour Lake; six grandchildren; mother, Nancy Preble; sisters, Cindy Preble, Julie Guidry, and Marcy Borel and her husband, Jim; nieces, Rachel Ratcliff and her husband, Logan and Melissa Borel; and nephew, Will Borel and his wife, Tracy, and their son, Trip.

 

He is preceded in death by his father, Charles Perry Preble, Jr.

 

A gathering of Mr. Preble’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, July 30, 2015, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His cremation arrangements were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium.
