Mary Ellen “LaLa” Gonzales, 61, of Beaumont, died Sunday, June 28, 2015, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Beaumont. She was born on June 18, 1954, in Beaumont, to Ophelia Navarro Gonzales and Jose Gonzales, and was a lifelong resident of the area.

Mary is survived by her sisters, Virginia Parra, Camille Rocha, Connie Matte, JoJo Foret, Margaret Fuentes, Louise Guidry, and Belinda Gonzales; brother, Jose Gonzales; grandchildren, Kenan Womack and Zoe Womack; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and son, Kenneth Womack.

Ms. Gonzales’ cremation will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. A private family memorial service will be held a later date.
