Hector Luis Llorens, 78, of Beaumont, died Thursday, June 18, 2015, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Beaumont.  He was born in Coamo, Puerto Rico, on November 10, 1936, to Irene and Eustilo Llorens, and had been a longtime resident of Beaumont. Hector was a retired engineer from DuPont.

He enjoyed puzzles, watching baseball, especially the Houston Astros, and he loved worldwide travel.  His greatest joy and the loves of his life were his wife and children.

Hector is survived by his wife, Luisa and children Wanda, Hector, Ricardo and Alberto; grandchildren Kaitlyn, Amanda, Ethan, Eva and Ana; sisters Ivette, Miriam, Louisette and the extended family of in-laws, nieces and nephews.  

He is preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Leida Rivera.

A gathering of Mr. Llorens’ family and friends will begin at 1:30 p.m., with his funeral service to follow at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, June 21, 2015, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
