William H. “Bill” Crain, Jr., 87, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, May 26, 2015, at Christus Hospital-St. Elizabeth, Beaumont. He was born on February 23, 1928, to Iva Myrtie Lee and William H. Crain, Sr., in Galveston. Bill was a United States Army veteran having served in World War II and was a maintenance coordinator for Mobil Chemical. Survivors include his wife, Ednalie Crain; children, Dub Crain and his wife, Gail; Charles Crain and his wife, Pam, and Steve Crain and his wife, Debbie, all of Nederland; Mark Crain and his fiancée, Kim, of Arvada, Colorado; Denise Harvick and her husband, David, of Cheek; Kathleen Kingston and her husband, Keith, of Mesa, Arizona; Troy Crain and his wife, Cindy, of Nederland; Claudia Thomas and her husband, Craig, of Beaumont; D’Lana Erickson and her husband, Chris, of Kingwood; and Jolanda Huff and her husband, Tracy, of Beaumont; grandchildren, Billy Crain and his wife, Amanda; Chris Crain and his wife, Amy; Mathew Crain; Meagan Gimber and her husband, Daniel; David Ron Sheffield and his wife, Shelly; Charlotte Junot and her husband, Jacob; Shelley Crain; Kimberly Nelson and her husband, Josh; Clarisa Grammer and her husband, Jeromie; Vanessa Lane and Clint Welch; Michelle Crain; Ashley Lee; Deanna Harvick and Mikey Naquin; Derek Harvick and his wife, Bekah; Gene Kingston and his wife, Heather; Craig Kingston; Kyle Kingston; Kayla Crain; Shana Ferguson; Michael Deemy; Sarina Thomas; Lauren Erickson and her fiancé, Ken Call; Kristen Erickson; Taryn Huff; and Raylie Huff; eighteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and siblings, Chick Crain and his wife, Carol, of Flint and Sue Ramirez of Beaumont. He is preceded in death by his parents; one son, Greg Crain; and one sister, Dorothy Johnson. A gathering of Mr. Crain’s family and friends will be from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Saturday, May 30, 2015, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1:00 p.m., at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 245 West Highway 90, China, with interment to follow at Abshier Cemetery, Devers.
