Martha LaPrelle Tiner, 80, of Lumberton, died Monday, May 25, 2015.  She was born on July 1, 1934, in San Augustine County, to Bertha Loraine Roberts Price and Lud Davis Price.  Mrs. Tiner was a homemaker and longtime member of Parkway Life Church in Lumberton.

Survivors include her daughters, Charlotte Brooks and her husband, Stoney, Sr., of Lumberton and Gwendolyn Vassar and her husband, Harold, of Sour Lake; grandchildren, Stoney Brooks, Jr. and his wife, Marissa, and Scott Brooks, all of Beaumont; Paula Reed and her husband, James, of Nederland; Joshua Vassar and his wife, Micah, and Kevin Tiner, all of Sour Lake; and Devin Bean and her husband, Chris, and Stephanie Brooks, all of Lumberton; numerous great-grandchildren; and siblings, James Price and his wife,  Ruth; L.D. Price; Patricia Price; Brenda Waldon and her husband, Gerald, Sr.; and Charles Price and his wife, Verna, all of Lumberton.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Royal Vincent Tiner; son, Vincent Earl Tiner, Sr.; grandson, Vincent Earl Tiner, Jr.; sister, Charlcie Steverson; and brothers, Keynoth Price, Earl Price, and Chester Price.

A gathering of Mrs. Tiner’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.  Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 28, 2015, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
