James Daniel Travis, Jr., 65, of Silsbee, died Monday, May 25, 2015, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth, Beaumont.  He was born September 16, 1949, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, to Dorothy Lee Scully Travis and James Daniel Travis, Sr. James was a retired salesman in the electrical industry.

Survivors include his children, Sylinthia Wilson and her husband, David McGary, of Silsbee; Margaret Ann Sobin and her husband, Mike, of Louisville, Kentucky; Sandra Barnes and her husband, Kirk, of Silsbee; and Claudia Parks of Virginia; grandchildren, Zachary Wilson, Austin McGary, Macie McGary, Kevin Barnes, Woody Barnes, Josh Sherman, and Gabi Voyles; great-granddaughter, Aubrey; sister; Rebecca Dawn Smith of Forth Worth; and brother, William Greene Travis and his wife, Alice, of Mississippi.  He is preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Heidi Marie Deutschmann Travis.

Mr. Travis’ committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium, under the direction of Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.
