Wanda Charpiot Richardson
February 1, 1930 - May 18, 2015

Wanda Charpiot Richardson, 85, of Houston, passed away on May 18, 2015.  She was born on February 1, 1930 in Humble, Texas, to Eunice Belle Armstrong and Arnold Brantley Charpiot.  While she recently moved to the Houston area, she was a longtime resident of Beaumont.

After graduating from Charles Bender High School in 1947, Wanda went to work for Sun Oil Company. She met and married Jack Richardson in 1952 and except for a brief stint in Seattle, Washington, while Jack attended the University of Washington, they settled in Beaumont to raise their three children.

Wanda had a plethora of interests from oil painting to deer hunting. She took great pleasure tending to her home garden. She loved to travel whether to Europe, the Caribbean or just over to Louisiana. Wanda was so very proud of her family and was the best source for family genealogy and stories. She enjoyed spending time with her family and coordinated a number of family trips to North Carolina, Colorado and Utah. A voracious reader, her Nook was never far from hand.  Wanda also loved to share whatever she had whether it was home cooked food or plants from the garden.

Survivors include her children, Stone Richardson and his wife, Nancy, of Krugerville, Texas, Marian Richardson, of Houston, Texas and Brian Richardson and his wife, Pam, of The Woodlands, Texas; grandchildren, Samuel Richardson and Tommy Richardson and his wife, Jennifer; great grandchildren, Gabriel and Alexandra Richardson; her sister, Linda Ward, as well as nephews, Garland Charpiot, Brantley Charpiot, Kelly Charpiot and Joe Reid.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Richardson and her brother, David Charpiot.
