Beverly Gayl Highberg Martin, 70, of Winnie, died Saturday, May 16, 2015. She was born on November 1, 1944, in Palacios, to Margaret Shiflet and John Highberg, and had been a longtime resident of the area.

Survivors include her husband, Bill Martin of Groves; Son, Percy Malcom Leblanc of Huntsville; grandsons, Nathan Leblanc and Mickey Leblanc; sister, Sarah Highberg Lambert and her husband, Joel, of Houston; brothers, Stewart Highberg and his wife, Dot, of Bastrop; Mickey Highberg and his wife, Dominque, of Adel, Iowa; and Haywood Highberg of League City; Uncle Paul and Aunt Frances Highberg; special family members, Vicki Kunekfe, Kathy Conrad, Lynelle Plant, and Leonard Kunekfe, Jr.; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.

A gathering of Mrs. Martin’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, May 18, 2015, at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 19, 2015, at Broussard’s, Winnie, with interment following at Fairview Cemetery, Winnie.
