Jesse "Cliff" Clifton Strawther 
October 17, 1942 - May 5, 2015

Jesse “Cliff” Clifton Strawther, 72, of Sour Lake, went to be with his Lord, Tuesday, May 5, 2015, at Houston Methodist Hospital, Houston. He was born on October 17, 1942, to Opal Landrum Strawther and Jess Strawther, and had been a longtime resident of the area. Cliff was retired from the United States Air Force, and he was a retired computer draftsman with Alliance Engineering. He was a longtime member of Ridgewood Church of Christ and was a song leader for many years.

Cliff is survived by his wife of thirty-three years, Sheri Strawther, of Sour Lake; daughters, Gretchin Marshall and her husband, Joe; Holly Badon and her husband, Steve, all of Nederland; son, Sean Clifton Strawther and his wife, Michelle, of Sour Lake; brother, Don Strawther and his wife, Linda; and sister, Karen Tryck and her husband, Bill, all of Call; grandchildren, Caroline Badon, Burke Badon, Dillon Marshall, Braden Strawther, Ethan Strawther, all of Sour Lake; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Opal and Jess Strawther.

Cliff has a great love for flying, singing, painting and photography. He will be greatly missed.

A gathering of Mr. Strawther’s family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, May 11, 2015, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His funeral service with Military Honors will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 12, 2015, at Ridgewood Church of Christ, 2455 Commerce Street, Beaumont, with his interment to follow at 1:00 p.m., at Trout Creek Cemetery, Call.
