Joe Lee Richard 
December 23, 1929 - April 30, 2015

Joe Lee Richard, 85, of Beaumont, died Thursday, April 30, 2015. A native and lifelong resident of the area, he was born on December 23, 1929, in Nederland, to Eva LeJune and Joe Cleve Richard.

Joe was a United States Army veteran and had retired from Central Freight Line as a truck driver. He was a life member of VFW in Port Neches. Joe was a member of the Boy Scouts and Cajun Club. He loved football and baseball.

Survivors include his loving wife, Norma Richard; daughter, Elizabeth Hamaker and her husband, David; son, Cleve Adam Richard; grandchildren, Anthony Joseph Harvey and Bianca Kirkland; and great-grandchildren, Aidan Kirkland and Liam Kirkland, all of Beauxart Gardens.  

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Beatrice Junot; brothers, Ambrose, Ivy, Raymond, and Reese Richard.

A gathering of Mr. Richard’s family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., with a rosary recited at 6:00 p.m., Sunday, May 3, 2015, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 4, 2015, at St. Charles Catholic Borromeo Catholic Church, 211 Hardy Avenue, Nederland. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
