Charles Robinson Heare, 88, of Beaumont, died peacefully
at home on April 24, 2015. He was born on November 12, 1926, in Port Arthur, to
Lou Emily Grace Robinson Heare and Louis Charles Heare.
Charles attended The University of Texas in Austin
where he met his wife, Anne Edwards. He
completed medical school at The
University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He began his practice of medicine in Beaumont
as an Ear, Nose, and Throat doctor in 1957 and continued until 1992.
He is survived by his sister, Mrs. Eugene Sarles
(Martha); his sons, Charles E. “Chuck” Heare and his wife, Janie, of Beaumont;
Dr. Travis C. Heare and his wife, Denise, of Kersey, Colorado; and Dr. Bruce R.
Heare and his wife, Ginger, of San Angelo, Texas; grandchildren, Emily Heare;
Ross Heare; Heather Provo and her husband, Andy; Travis Moje; Stephan Moje and
his wife, Ellen; Austin Heare; Jordan Heare; Travis Guerin and his wife, Katy;
Demi Guerin; Kaylee Guerin; Bradley Heare and his wife, Jean; Lauren Morris and
her husband, Hunter; Daniel Heare; great-grandson, Logan Provo; and a host of
nieces and nephews.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents; his wife
of sixty-four years, Anne Edwards Heare; his sister, Mrs. John K. McKinley
(Helen); and daughter, Grace Ann Heare Moje.
A gathering of Dr. Heare’s family and friends will
be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, April 30, 2015, at St. Andrews
Presbyterian Church, 1350 North 23rd Street, Beaumont. His funeral
service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 1, 2015, at St. Andrews Presbyterian
Church, with his interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves, under
the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont.
The family would like to sincerely thank Brenda
Washington, Belinda Dill, Fara Malvo, Cassandra Allmond, and Tina Hope for
their wonderful, loving care of Dr. Heare during his last
illness.
