Karen Rae Singleton 
October 26, 1959 - April 20, 2015

 

Karen Rae Singleton, 55, of Beaumont, died Monday, April 20, 2015, at Dubuis Hospital, Beaumont. She was born on October 26, 1959, to Clydie Vonelle Snell and Leon Odis Stringer, in Kirbyville. Karen worked as a medical transcriptionist for Beaumont Bone and Joint and was a member of New Booker Missionary Baptist Church. 

 

Survivors include her husband, Tommy E. Singleton; step-son, Zelvin Henry of Beaumont; sisters, Gaye Kettl and Brenda Brumley, both of Lumberton; Sharon Chambers and her husband, Ronnie, of New Caney; and Terry Bourque and her husband, Blake, of Port Acres; brothers, Tommie Stringer and his wife, Dell, of Vidor and Ronnie Stringer and his wife, Janis, of Arkansas; mother-in-law, Annie B. Singleton; sister-in-law, Donna Faye Wildridge; sixteen nieces and nephews; twenty great-nieces and nephews; six great-nieces and nephews; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins; lifelong best friend, Patti Hart of Boyd; friend, Joy Miller of Hemphill; and her best friend, Dayize Singleton.

 

She is preceded in death by her parents and nephew, Brian Stringer.

 

A memorial service for Mrs. Singleton will be at 2:00, Friday, April 24, 2015, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A family committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
