Therese
Roane Ruddy, beloved mother of ten, and loving wife to Kenneth Edward Ruddy,
died peacefully at home on April 10, 2015.
She
is survived by her devoted husband, Ken Ruddy, Sr. of Beaumont; children,
Sharon Ruddy Neusel and her husband, Eddie, of Austin; Debbie Ruddy Schwartz
and her husband, Fred; James Roane Ruddy and his wife, Carolyn Craig Ruddy;
Therese Ruddy Porter; and Chris Ruddy Draths and her husband, John, all of
Beaumont; Kenneth Edward Ruddy, Jr. and his
wife, Gretchen Kreager Ruddy, of Houston; Erin Ruddy Allare and her husband,
Mike, of Tyler; Patrick Michael Ruddy of Irving; Elizabeth Ruddy Schneider and
her husband, David, of San Diego, California; and Peter Campbell Ruddy of
Houston; twenty-five grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren, who loved and knew her as Mama II.
Therese
is preceded in death by her parents, Bertha Broussard and Fuzzy Roane; twin sisters, Mary Belle Cagle of Lake
Charles, Louisiana and Betty Jung of Seattle, Washington; and brother, Billy
Roane of Crystal Beach.
The
Ruddy family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Daniel Harmon; Dr.
John Henderson, and his nurse Sarah; Dr. Jeremy Huff, and his nurse Penny; Dr.
Todd Clarke, and his nurse Shannon. Also
included are the extraordinary friends and caregivers of Therese: Robert Carey, Shirley Prejean, August Jones,
Amanda Hernandez, Sharel Minnard, Bertha Fletcher, Linda Johnson, Arturo Ibera,
Ricardo Aguirre, JoAnette Hartfield, Geneva House, Ruth Medina,
Carlo Sangil, Margaret Lewis, Marion Garlow, Sue Semien, Leticia Rojo, Lorett Thompson and
last, but certainly not least, Jessie Bell and Irene Hightower, for their
unending compassion, companionship, and care through the years.
A
gathering of Mrs. Ruddy’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00
p.m., Tuesday, April 14, 2015, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue,
Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial
will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 15, 2015, at St. Anne
Catholic Church, 2715 Calder Avenue, Beaumont, with interment to follow at
Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
